Snow Peak

Snow Peak was founded in 1958 in Japan’s Niigata Prefecture by Yukio Yamai, whose passion for the mountains and dissatisfaction with the equipment then available led him to develop more reliable products himself. The metalworking tradition of Tsubame-Sanjo became integral to the project, initially focused on mountaineering and later expanded by his son Tohru Yamai into camping, outdoor and lifestyle. Equipment, apparel and accessories share an essential, functional design made to last, with particular attention to materials such as titanium and steel. Snow Peak considers the relationship with nature central to its philosophy, creating products not only for performance but to foster a more authentic connection between people, the environment and outdoor life.
