Founded in 2008 by Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson, JW Anderson began in London with a first accessories collection that quickly attracted international attention. From the outset, the brand developed a personal language built on the meeting of traditionally opposing codes and continual experimentation with proportion, materials and cultural references. Knitwear, outerwear, bags and accessories become tools for reinterpreting wardrobe archetypes through irony, craftsmanship and a contemporary sensibility. Jonathan Anderson’s research favours unexpected forms, conceptual details and objects capable of transforming the everyday into something new.
