Founded in Copenhagen in 2016 by designer Sigurd Bank, mfpen develops a contemporary wardrobe shaped by understated design, material research and relaxed proportions. Classic codes of European tailoring, workwear and everyday dressing are recontextualised through precise construction and carefully sourced fabrics, with priority given to high-quality deadstock from European suppliers. When surplus textiles are unavailable, the brand turns to recycled and biodegradable materials. Jackets, trousers, shirts, knitwear and outerwear are designed to move effortlessly between settings, without rigid formality. Under Bank’s creative direction, texture, cut and subtle details take precedence over decoration, creating a discreet yet recognisable identity. mfpen brings an urban, functional sensibility to Scandinavian minimalism, giving it a personal and lived-in character.
