Founded in Paris in 2009 by Simon Porte Jacquemus, JACQUEMUS began as a deeply personal project dedicated to the memory of the designer’s mother. Under his creative direction, the brand draws inspiration from Mediterranean France and a rich visual culture spanning fine-art photography, decorative arts, cinema, painting and sculpture. Dresses, knitwear, tailoring, bags and accessories combine clean construction with unexpected proportions and sun-washed colours, evoking the landscapes, light and atmosphere of southern France. Runway shows staged in striking locations, from lavender fields and salt marshes to historic architecture, form an essential part of its creative narrative. Through spontaneity, sensuality and precise storytelling, JACQUEMUS transforms familiar gestures and everyday references into a contemporary fashion language that is instantly recognisable and unmistakably personal.
