UGG was founded in 1978, when Australian surfer Brian Smith brought to California the sheepskin boots worn after surf sessions in cold waters. The Classic Boot quickly became a symbol of the relaxed West Coast lifestyle and, over time, an icon far beyond its original setting. Part of Deckers Brands since 1995, UGG has expanded into slippers, platforms, sneakers, sandals and lifestyle products while keeping comfort at the heart of its design philosophy. Soft materials, enveloping constructions and instantly recognisable shapes are continually reworked through new proportions and finishes.
