Namacheko
Namacheko was founded in 2015 through the collaboration of siblings Dilan and Lezan Lurr, originally from Kirkuk in Iraqi Kurdistan and later raised in Sweden. After the first years together, Dilan Lurr continued the project as its principal creative force, combining engineering training, personal memory and artisanal research. Tailoring, knitwear and outerwear are built with an almost architectural attention to weight, material and structure, alongside embroidery, handwork and references to Kurdish culture. The collections often explore themes of identity, exile and belonging without turning them into literal quotations. Namacheko develops a precise and introspective language where technique, memory and experimentation create a contemporary wardrobe with a strong identity.
