Mou

Nature, comfort and artisanal workmanship form the basis of Mou, created in London in 2002 by Shelley Tichborne. Raised in New Zealand, the designer brings to the project a strong sensitivity to natural materials, durability and responsible production. The name comes from the French word mou, meaning “soft to the touch,” perfectly reflecting footwear made with selected leathers, shearling and fibres chosen for quality and tactile appeal. Visible stitching, soft construction and hand-finished details make boots and casual styles instantly recognizable. Mou interprets footwear through simplicity, natural imperfection and a relaxed aesthetic, turning comfort into a central element of design.
