Gallery Dept.

Born in Los Angeles from the vision of artist and designer Josué Thomas, Gallery Dept. first took shape as a creative space where art, clothing and experimentation could coexist freely. The project developed around the idea of recovering and transforming existing garments through painting, distressing, reconstruction and hand-applied interventions. T-shirts, sweatshirts, denim and outerwear intentionally preserve traces of the creative process, making imperfection and uniqueness integral to the aesthetic. The studio continues to customize selected pieces through repairs and hand-finished details. Gallery Dept. interprets fashion as an extension of artistic practice, questioning conventional production and transforming everyday elements into pieces defined by authenticity, Los Angeles culture and freedom of expression.
