MM6 Maison Margiela
Launched in 1997, MM6 Maison Margiela develops a more immediate, everyday language from the Maison’s experimental codes. Deconstruction, altered proportions, layering and the transformation of archetypes are reinterpreted through a practical, ironic and often more spontaneous approach. Ready-to-wear, sneakers, bags and accessories explore functional details, unexpected materials and constructions that question traditional ways of wearing clothes. The line is developed by a creative collective, consistent with the culture of anonymity that defines the Margiela project, rather than by a single public figure. MM6 brings conceptual experimentation into everyday life, maintaining a balance between function, irreverence and the continuous transformation of the wardrobe.
