UNDERCOVER took shape in Tokyo in 1990 while Jun Takahashi was studying at Bunka Fashion College, becoming one of the most influential projects in contemporary Japanese fashion. The designer creates a universe where punk, art, music, cinema and street culture meet tailoring techniques and an intensely personal conceptual approach. From the debut of the first collection in 1994 to its arrival on the Paris runways in 2002, UNDERCOVER developed a language of contrasts, graphics, deconstruction and narrative references. Takahashi continues to lead the creative vision directly, turning each collection into a story. The result is a wardrobe that unites rebellion and refinement, everyday life and imagination, while retaining a radical and instantly recognisable identity.
