Ma'ry'ya

Knitwear lies at the heart of ma' ry' ya, the project launched in 2009 by designer Maria Icho after a career that began in theatrical costume and developed through extensive experience in knitwear. The name draws on the similarity between the Italian word maglia and Maria, immediately reflecting the brand’s connection to knitting. Cashmere, merino wool, organic cotton, linen and silk are selected for their softness, quality and natural character, shaping lightweight and versatile pieces designed for everyday wear. Clean construction, relaxed proportions and understated detailing define an aesthetic based on simplicity, comfort and ease. Made in Italy, with the exception of Japanese selvedge denim, ma' ry' ya creates an ageless and unisex wardrobe where fine yarns, practicality and natural elegance remain central beyond seasonal trends.
