Ballantyne

The history of BALLANTYNE began in Scotland in 1820 with the textile business founded by Henry Ballantyne and was consolidated in 1921 with the creation of D. Ballantyne Brothers & Co., specialising in cashmere knitwear. Over time, the brand became synonymous with precious yarns, refined workmanship and its celebrated argyle motif, building an international reputation for quality and durability. Since 2013, Fabio Gatto has led the brand as President and Creative Director, combining Scottish heritage with a more contemporary Italian sensibility. Cashmere, wool and noble fibres remain central to collections defined by colour, comfort and artisanal precision. BALLANTYNE interprets knitwear as an expression of timeless elegance, keeping alive the dialogue between textile tradition, innovation and everyday style.
