Y-3
Y-3 was founded in 2002 from the meeting of adidas sports innovation and Yohji Yamamoto’s vision, opening a new territory between performance and fashion. Its name combines the designer’s “Y” with the sports brand’s three stripes, encapsulating a collaboration in which neither identity dominates the other. Clothing, footwear and accessories combine technical construction, performance materials and tailoring with Yamamoto’s unmistakable sensitivity to volume, black and movement. The project continues to be developed through Japanese and German ateliers, keeping the dialogue between sport and design at its core. Y-3 interprets sportswear as a contemporary, sophisticated and experimental language.
