Launched in 2013 by Issey Miyake, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE grew from decades of research into pleating and the relationship between fabric, body and movement. Its signature pleating process creates garments that are lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, quick-drying and designed to adapt naturally to everyday life. Jackets, trousers, shirts and tops transform pleats into a dynamic structure capable of changing as the body moves. Colour, modularity and functionality become integral to the project, allowing pieces within the collection to be combined freely.
