Maison Mihara Yasuhiro
Yasuhiro Mihara began making shoes as a self-taught designer while studying at Tama Art University, turning this personal research into his own brand in 1996. Maison Mihara Yasuhiro therefore grew from footwear before expanding into ready-to-wear and accessories through a free and often ironic approach to design. The Japanese designer works outside traditional conventions, altering forms, volumes and constructions with deliberately unexpected details. Sneakers with sculptural soles, denim, outerwear and layered garments become fields for experimentation, always with strong attention to workmanship. Maison Mihara Yasuhiro brings technique and play together, transforming familiar wardrobe elements into new, irregular and immediately recognizable objects.
