Fornasetti
Fornasetti grew from the imagination of Piero Fornasetti, the Milanese artist, designer and decorator who founded the Atelier in Milan in 1940 and developed a unique visual universe through drawing, architecture, illusionism and classical references. Furniture, porcelain and decorative objects become expressive surfaces animated by architectural motifs, surreal variations and the celebrated face of Lina Cavalieri. Today, Barnaba Fornasetti, Artistic Director, carries this heritage forward by reinterpreting the extensive archive through new combinations and contemporary perspectives. Each creation is made in the Milanese Atelier using traditional Italian craftsmanship, where screen printing, painting and hand-finishing bring imagination into physical form. Fornasetti approaches the home as a space where function, irony and fantasy coexist, transforming everyday objects into distinctive pieces with an unmistakable visual identity.
