Issey Miyake
The story of ISSEY MIYAKE took shape in 1971, when Issey Miyake presented his first collection and began a research path that would redefine the relationship between body, fabric and movement. At the heart of his philosophy is the concept of “A Piece of Cloth,” which considers clothing from a single piece of material and the space created between fabric and body. Since 2020, creative direction has been entrusted to Satoshi Kondo, who continues this research by exploring new yarns, techniques and constructions. Pleating, dynamic volumes, lightness and textile innovation create garments designed to move and transform naturally. ISSEY MIYAKE interprets design as continuous experimentation, combining technology, craftsmanship and functionality in a universal and deeply contemporary vision.
