Self Portrait

Self-Portrait was founded in London in 2013 from the vision of Han Chong, the Malaysian designer trained at Central Saint Martins who remains Founder and Creative Director today. The project began with the idea of making refined design more accessible, focusing above all on the balance between structure, decoration and functionality. Lace, guipure, crystals, transparency and precise constructions define dresses, tailoring and accessories designed for different occasions, always with close attention to fit. Chong’s artistic background influences a visual language that feels refined yet immediate, where romanticism and modernity coexist without becoming overly formal. Self-Portrait interprets contemporary elegance through detail, lightness and a London sensibility capable of uniting glamour and practicality.
