Founded by Liva Ramanandraibe, with his mother Tiana Raharison playing a fundamental role in its origins, IBELIV grew from a desire to celebrate Madagascar’s natural resources and traditional craftsmanship through contemporary design. Natural raffia is at the heart of the brand, carefully prepared and hand-crocheted by Malagasy craftswomen using techniques passed down through generations. Lightness, texture and subtle variations give each creation its individual character, while clean forms and functional design allow the natural qualities of the material to take centre stage. The project also maintains a strong social dimension, supporting local craftsmanship and creating professional opportunities within Malagasy communities.
