Prada
Founded in Milan in 1913 by Mario Prada, Prada began with its first store in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, establishing an early reputation for refined materials and sophisticated craftsmanship. Miuccia Prada’s arrival in the family business in the 1970s marked the beginning of a radical transformation driven by intellectual curiosity, experimentation and an unconventional approach to materials. Since 2020, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons have shared the creative direction, developing a continuous dialogue between distinct yet complementary perspectives. Nylon, tailoring, leather, knitwear and accessories are repeatedly reinterpreted through contrasts between rigour and irony, tradition and experimentation, beauty and imperfection. Prada continues to challenge established fashion codes through a sophisticated and deeply contemporary language, while preserving its distinctive Milanese identity.
