ZIMMERMANN was founded in Sydney in 1991 by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, transforming a small project begun at Sydney’s Paddington Markets into one of Australian fashion’s most recognisable names. Nicky, who remains Creative Director, builds the collections through original prints, refined craftsmanship and a balance of romance, sensuality and lightness, while Simone oversees the brand’s strategic development. Swimwear and resortwear have been fundamental since the beginning, later joined by ready-to-wear and accessories. ZIMMERMANN interprets a sunlit, sophisticated elegance in which colour, fluid fabrics, artisanal details and close attention to construction create an instantly recognisable language.
