It has now been established that using floral prints or embroidery in spring is certainly not innovative and for the winter it is almost an oxymoron, but for the FW19/20 it is one of the major trends seen on the catwalks, from Prada to Dior up to Balenciaga. The key to the interpretation changes, however. It is no longer a question of little flowers in pastel tones, but of flowers, also quite realistic, with dark, gloomy tones and backgrounds, with clear grunge and Gothic references that we have already seen to be the basic note ofthis season.
