MOTHER was founded in Los Angeles in 2010 by denim experts Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding, with the idea of reinterpreting jeans through exceptionally soft fabrics, carefully considered fits and a freer attitude. The brand’s imagery evokes 1970s California, combining vintage culture, rebellious spirit and irony, while the name deliberately plays on the contrast between affection and provocation. From denim, the collection expanded into sportswear, outerwear and accessories while maintaining a strong connection to Los Angeles production. Tim Kaeding, co-founder and Creative Director, continues to guide a spontaneous and narrative aesthetic where washes, proportions and details shape a recognizable, relaxed wardrobe that never takes itself too seriously.
