RTA: an interview with

Felpa RTA for Julian Fashion & RTA designers, Eli Arzan e David Rimokh

We interviewed the creative duo Eli Arzan and David Rimokh, designers of RTA. The well-known Californian brand will be included in our list of contemporary brands from season AW 17 . The brand decided to celebrate this event creating a customize sweatshirt for JULIAN FASHION soon available on our online-store.

JULIAN FASHION: “RTA: how did you come up with your name?”

RTA DESIGNERS: “RtA stands for ROAD TO AWE, the constant journey to bettering yourself…. for us the most important part of our company is to always make sure we are growing, learning and while moving forward in the right direction.”

JULIAN FASHION: “What's the inspiration behind your collections?”

RTA DESIGNERS: “The inspiration is more based on the brand, we have a certain “cool/easy/laid back look” that embodies the brand, for us its about how to apply this energy to every collection/ season.”

JULIAN FASHION: “What can we expect from your future collections? “

RTA DESIGNERS: “We are currently working on an incredible collaboration with one of my fashion idols so we are really excited about that. We are also starting footwear…. I’m obsessed with shoes/sneakers and have always wanted to create my own shoe. Growing up my father had an amazing shoe brand in the 90s so it would be really cool to do some type of homage for that.”

JULIAN FASHION: “USA fashion' definition and Los Angeles' scene are changing. How would you describe the current american style? How it has evolved and changed since the 90s? “

RTA DESIGNERS: “LA is the birth place of Cool, leather, jeans and t shirts…. thats what the city is about… the challenge is how to constantly evolve based on that without looking stale or repetitive”

JULIAN FASHION: “We are happy to have cooperated with you for the product. Many luxury brands are working on the customization. Do you belive the custom-made will be also a trend for the future?”

RTA DESIGNERS: “We have done 2 events one of Maxfield and one with Hirshllifiers, the events were really successful…ultimately i think in todays world where everyone has access to everything, its fun to be able to have something thats tailored to you, individuality is key….”
