DIVE INTO THE SEVENTIES

In the early 1970s, Vogue proclaimed “There are no rules in the fashion game now.”
By the 1970s tastes in clothing had become even more individualized. It was said that people could wear anything they wanted—and did.
Women especially were tired of having fashions dictated to them, and they chose clothes that were comfortable and liberating.
This focus on individual tastes and expression helped earn the 1970s the nickname the "Me Decade” (read more on: www.fashionencyclopedia.com).
Spring/Summer 2017 takes fashion back to the Seventies!
It's time to let this trend in into your closet ‘cause that decade has once again found it’s way!
We took some favorite Seventies must-haves to compare them to the '70s-inspired styles for the next Spring/Summer season!

PRINTS & STRIPES
The first thing that comes to our mind about Seventies trend is: prints, prints, prints… especially bold prints! But stripes and chevron stripes too were huge trends in this decade. Missoni (2) and Balmain (1) revisited the Seventies stripes trend. Paired the dress with platform heels for an astonishing outfit.HIPPY OR ROMANTIC?
Take a look at the long, flowing dresses for the next season. A lot of designers showing stunning, lightweight, ultra-feminine and romantic dresses 70s-inspired!AGAIN ABOUT DRESSING...
The Seventies saw ordinary women wearing long maxi dresses.THE BAG
The best Seventies-inspired bag for the next season? Imagine fringes, tassels, suede and hippie flair... Just big enough to hold your essentials, Chloé bags make a cute statement. Show off your favorite bag with bare legs and a mini dress.THE SHOES
The motto of the 70s shoes was seemingly "the bigger the better." Platform shoes raised the shoe game to new heights by having incredibly thick soles (and not only for women… do you remember Tony Manero?). At about the same time, clogs became popular as they followed the trend for chunkiness of sole....AND THE ACCESSORIES!
A "final touch" from Seventies: headband and neck bow that were very popular during the "Me Decade".
